Siemens S5 PLC service, support & upgrade

Siemens S5 PLC automations products have come to the end of their life and are no longer supported by Siemens. If your plant utilizes this technology, you can expect to be impacted by increases spares costs, delays in obtaining parts, and an overall reduction in the availability of specialist knowledge.

I S Systems have the expertise to offer continued support for the S5 PLC systems, and can support you with our extensive range of stocked spares and experienced service engineers, available around the clock.

Our S5 audit service will help you establish your level of exposure as well as offer solutions to keep your plant producing.

If you need to upgrade, I S Systems have devised a number of proven upgrade strategies to cope with the S5 phase-out with minimal interruption to the normal operation of your plant. We have completed well over 100 such upgrades, and our experienced engineers can assess your risk an tailor solutions to fit your change-out requirements and budget.

S5 change-outs need not result in plant downtime. I S Systems have completed an upgrade of an S5 system with 8 networked PLC’s and a total of 3500 I/O points during a normal 72 hour planned plant maintenance shutdown, and have been awarded for our innovation and commitment to minimal downtime in such changeovers.

  • A service agreement is tailored to a client's individual needs, and results in a dedicated team of I S Systems engineers, who understand the client's process, site and equipment, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

LV and MV drives

Keeping your variable speed drives running is critical to the throughput of your plant. To reduce downtime, particularly in the event of a drive failure, I S Systems provides round the clock support for your business, through a channel that suits your needs.

I S systems have developed a number of plans, revolving around scheduled, preventative maintenance and machine audits to ensure optimum production. This system of audits and maintenance is designed to ensure non-scheduled or urgent breakdowns are minimised. Audits will often reveal impending machinery problems, allowing us to solve the problem before an urgent breakdown occurs.
